Luib Hotel - Killin

We enjoyed the hotel and would stay here again. The room we had included a work desk, tea/coffee making equipment and a TV set.

What a very pleasant stay, no complaints. Charming little and relaxing place, great food offered for vegetarian breakfast. Remote location, fantastic base for discovering Killin. Found in the particularly good area.

I really appreciated the beautiful Colin Burt Reserve only a short couple of kilometers away, and the fantastic walking paths around Sgiath Chuil made my weekend explorations super enjoyable, with lovely views at every corner. The friendly staff added a personal touch.

I loved how I could easily access beautiful parks and scenic views while exploring landmarks just a stroll away from the hotel. The hearty cooked breakfast was a welcomed treat, giving me the fuel I needed for my city adventures.

The building showcases a charming, traditional design that feels authentic and rooted in history. Ample parking space is available, and the scenic surroundings offer fine views to enjoy while unwinding in the beer garden.

The bathroom in the Economy Double Room felt cramped and could use some serious attention. The hot water situation was frustrating. Even after several attempts, it never got beyond lukewarm, and the shower door was in need of repair. Breakfast options lacked variety, missing both cereals and fruit juice, while the basic service left room for improvement regarding attentiveness and friendliness.

The history of Luib Hotel really adds charm. The cozy, clean rooms provided all I needed. Coffee and tea facilities in the room were a nice touch. The staff seemed like family, warm and inviting. The full Scottish breakfast was hearty, with the Lorne sausage being a highlight. The WiFi only worked in the bar and didn't reach my room. The plumbing had issues, with inconsistent water temperatures. The menu lacked variety with no vegetarian options. A bit more attention to food selection would really elevate the experience. Beautiful surroundings made up for many inconveniences. I'll definitely consider staying again if improvements are made.

A cozy stop with fine views

What a cool place! The building's got this ancient charm and the views are just gorgeous. We stayed one night on our way to Edinburgh. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the bar area was a nice touch for some relaxed vibes. The only bummer was the road noise during the day, but it quieted down nicely at night.

The location was beautiful, overlooking the hills, and the hosts were incredibly polite and warm. I appreciated that the room and bathroom were clean, with comfortable beds that allowed for a decent night's rest. the hotel could use a bit of an update, as some amenities were lacking, like no WiFi in the rooms and very limited food options. Still, the cleanliness and friendly service made for an enjoyable stay.

It was just a great fit for strolling in Killin with extraordinarily good value for money. The cooked breakfast was spot on, serving up a proper Scottish treat. Take advantage of the local fishing permits. It's a short walk to the river.
